Question:
What has improved in your learning and teamwork since last lesson? What do you need to improve on? Response:
I think in terms of the team’s focus and teamwork since the last lesson, it has been greatly improved. With the total number of questions that we were supposed to answer and the low attendance in the group, it seems that it was impossible to complete what we were tasked to do today. However, as we moved on in the worksheet questions, I realised the vast similarity with what I have learnt in my secondary school. When our facilitator comes over to our group, although we had just started on question 5, I was able to link every aspect of the concept in to the scenario today. Hence, my other group mates, although lost at first, but were still able to catch up quickly due to the link that we got and visualise. At the end of the second meeting, due to our great team work, we solved the problem statement and were preparing for the power point for our presentation. I think what I could improve on is to slow down on my questioning and thinking pace so that my team members would not have the “lost at first” moments. Or, I could quickly jot down what my thoughts are and share it with them once I am ready so that they would not waste those times looking at me, staring into the question.

| Question: | Rate your teammates' and your learning and teamwork for today's Physics lesson.
|
| Response: | I would think that for a newly formed team, today’s team is rather quick to pick up the lesson and warm up.
Amongst us, most of us have issues like unable to do calculations well or even not being sure of whether our concepts are accurate. What we did was to help one another as and when necessary. Hence, I felt that all of us made the same effort in terms of solving the problem based on our Physics background. Although my team didn’t use the correct method to solve the problem, we had attempted to do so. Hence, to me, whether the answer is accurate or not, it doesn’t really matter now because what matters is the process. However, I do admit that it is a good learning curve.
In my team, I had the best Physics background. Hence, my job in the team is to ensure that the entire team is on par with what is going on within the team and is able to catch up on the lesson. Hence, we tried to help one another for our presentation and worksheet.
As for myself, I learnt that there may be different things involved in a calculation question. You may not be required to use all at once or you may not be able to link everything together at once, but being able to identify it would be a good start. |
